Wombat Hill House
Simple & delicious seasonal food, sourced locally wherever possible
and served in one of Daylesford’s most beautiful locations-
the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens.
Wombat Hill House was opened by the team at Lake House in 2011 with the aim of creating a casual country cafe where people could enjoy all-day dining in a relaxed and pretty setting. Eat in, take away, grab a coffee whilst walking your dog, order a picnic, draw a stool up at the bar and stay awhile. Wombat Hill House aims to welcome all to enjoy this beautiful part of our village.
Don’t miss Allan Wolf-Tasker’s whimsical ‘enchanted garden’ mural painted directly onto the cafe walls.
You’ll find fresh seasonal juices, smoothies, kefirs, local sodas, cocktails, cider, beer, wine by the glass and bottle to enjoy on the premises.
DON'T MISS OUR BEAUTIFUL HIGH TEA!

YOUR HEALTH MATTERS
With COVID-19 developing in so many countries around the world, our commitment is to adhere to the strictest of World Health Organisation (WHO) advice, and the protocols advised by local and international authorities. The well-being of our guests, our associates, and our staff is our absolute priority, and you can be assured that health and safety have our complete attention.
All our employees are aware of the current requirements and are undertaking extreme levels of health and safety procedures to ensure that the highest possible hygiene standards are maintained, throughout every aspect of Lake House and Wombat Hill House.
Any member of staff returning from the affected areas abroad – or those who have family members or housemates recently returned from these regions – have automatically been asked to self-quarantine for fourteen days. We kindly ask the same of our guests. It is of vital importance for us to be in a position to ensure that any and all procedures are in place to support the health and well-being of our guests.
We will be following developments on a daily basis with intense scrutiny. If you have any further questions, please contact our Lake House Operations Manager.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and loyalty to Lake House and Wombat Hill House.
We look forward to seeing you soon,
